Videoinstal\u00b7lacions The Casting i Nost\u00e0lgia<\/strong>, dos representativas obras audiovisuales del artista hierosolimitano <strong>Omer Fast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan explica <a href=\"https:\/\/coleccion.caixaforum.com\/nimfa-bisbe\">Nimfa Bisbe<\/a>, comisaria de la exposici\u00f3n, Fast realiza un ejercicio sobre el acto narrativo, sobre c\u00f3mo se forman las historias y de qu\u00e9 modo la memoria influye en ellas, as\u00ed como descubrir los elementos narrativos que determinan la comprensi\u00f3n y la posterior interpretaci\u00f3n. La obra audiovisual de Fast surge de estas cuestiones tan cruciales. En consecuencia, el artista israel\u00ed no busca la verdad de unos hechos concretos, si no la que se halla en las representaciones de la narraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Casting\u201d<\/em>(2007)encuentra su idea original en las entrevistas que Omer Fast realiz\u00f3 en Texas a soldados norteamericanos destinados en Iraq. Finalmente, el artista escogi\u00f3 dos relatos del soldado Ronn C.A.: uno hac\u00eda referencia al desafortunado accidente en el que dispar\u00f3 a unos civiles desarmados: otro, hablaba de un encuentro rom\u00e1ntico con una chica desequilibrada mental a la que conoci\u00f3 en una base norteamericana situada en Alemania. Omer Fast teje ambas historias, apoyado en cuatro proyecciones simult\u00e1neas y un \u00fanico canal de sonido. \u201c<em>La verdad es que no busco un \u00e1ngulo pol\u00edtico,&#8230;.Me interesa m\u00e1s como se retiene la experiencia en la memoria y despu\u00e9s c\u00f3mo los recuerdos se convierten en historias, y como se mediatizan los recuerdos<\/em>\u201d, afirma Fast.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNostalgia\u201d<\/em>(2009) convierte la trivial an\u00e9cdota de, en apariencia, un cazador en un parque de Londres (la an\u00e9cdota es un recuerdo sobre c\u00f3mo capturar perdices a trav\u00e9s de una trampa confeccionada a base de ramas y arbustos), en un <em>leit motiv<\/em> que aparecer\u00e1 en otras dos historias: la primera, un joven inmigrante africano que es entrevistado en un tenso ambiente y la segunda, una recreaci\u00f3n <em>retrofuturista <\/em>en la que los papeles se han invertido, y son los europeos los que emigran al continente africano, buscando una vida mejor y pasando humillantes entrevistas. Nimfa Bisbe juzga que la trampa para cazar perdices es una met\u00e1fora sobre c\u00f3mo las historias orales transmiten conocimientos y experiencias.<\/p>\n<p>Omer Fast (1972) naci\u00f3 en Jerusal\u00e9n, estudi\u00f3 en Nueva York y actualmente vive en Berl\u00edn. Rsu talento como artista se ha visto recompensado por el el premio Bucksbaum (2008) y el de la Nationalgalerie de Berl\u00edn (2009). Le gusta narrar y representar historias.
