Este libro estudia, desde perspectivas <em>queer<\/em>, c\u00f3mo esos creadores, la mayor\u00eda homosexuales, utilizaron c\u00f3digos, tradiciones y referentes de la subcultura homosexual de su contexto hist\u00f3rico. En concreto, analiza como desarrollaron constantes crea\u00adtivas compartidas en torno a lo que tradicionalmente se ha pensado como feminidad.<\/p>\n<p>Las pel\u00edculas protagonizadas por mujeres les permitieron ubicar al hombre en la posici\u00f3n de objeto de deseo y generar abundantes relatos donde la frustraci\u00f3n del deseo o la transgresi\u00f3n de las normas sociales fue\u00adron elementos recurrentes.<\/p>\n<p>El libro se divide en tres partes: las dos primeras estudian c\u00f3mo estos creadores trabajaron con particular inter\u00e9s, las convenciones del melodrama de mujeres y del cine musical protagonizado por divas cantantes; la tercera evidencia c\u00f3mo, desde los a\u00f1os sesenta, fueron dejando atr\u00e1s lo melodram\u00e1tico para recuperar lo camp como tradici\u00f3n subcultural, basada en el exceso, la iron\u00eda y el humor autoconsciente.<\/p>\n<h3>El autor<\/h3>\n<p>Santiago Lomas Mart\u00ednez es profesor e investigador en el Departamento de Comunicaci\u00f3n de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, donde forma parte del grupo de investigaci\u00f3n TECMERIN. Ha publicado art\u00edculos en prestigiosas revistas acad\u00e9micas.<\/p>\n<p>Como docente, ha impartido asignaturas como \u00abHistoria de los medios audiovisuales\u00bb, \u00abCine y televisi\u00f3n en Espa\u00f1a\u00bb o \u00abRepresentaci\u00f3n de identidades en los medios audiovisuales\u00bb.
