Los amigos de la Graphiclassic nos tienen acostumbrados a unos estupendos monogr\u00e1ficos de estudios literarios, donde destacan las ilustraciones realizadas en exclusiva para estos vol\u00famenes por los mejores ilustradores y artistas. Ya van cinco trabajos, \u201cMoby Dick\u201d, \u201cLa isla del Tesoro\u201d y \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.revistarambla.com\/en\/jules-verne-el-futuro-sobrepasado\/\">Jules Verne<\/a> 1 y Jules Verne 2\u201d, y ahora este de H.G. Wells; para mi gusto, un trabajo sin parang\u00f3n y de lo mejor que se ha publicado en Espa\u00f1a, literaria y gr\u00e1ficamente, sobre el gran escritor brit\u00e1nico.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTodos tenemos nuestras m\u00e1quinas del tiempo, \u00bfno es verdad? Las que nos hacen retroceder son recuerdos\u2026 y las que avanzar, sue\u00f1os\u201d. Wells nos dej\u00f3 este bonito pensamiento, y de sue\u00f1os, y sobre todo en sue\u00f1os en el futuro est\u00e1 repleta su obra literaria. No contento con dejarnos so\u00f1ar en la Tierra, nos llev\u00f3 a otros mundos, y en choque de civilizaciones, se bas\u00f3 su obra m\u00e1s conocida y universal: La guerra de los mundos.<\/p>\n<p>Pero H. G. Wells fue otras cosas y en todas ellas destac\u00f3, por lo que podemos decir que estamos ante uno de los hombres m\u00e1s importantes del siglo XX. Del ingente trabajo period\u00edstico, destaca su <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revistarambla.com\/en\/entrevista-del-escritor-ingles-h-g-wells-a-joseph-stalin\/\">entrevista hist\u00f3rica a Josep Stalin<\/a>. Historiador, soci\u00f3logo, polemista y pol\u00edtico desde posiciones socialistas y apoyando iniciativas de progreso social. Las mayores predicciones de Wells son de tipo social, carrera armamentista, estados totalitarios, ecolog\u00eda y agotamiento de recursos naturales, etc.<\/p>\n<p>La obra que nos ocupa, en gran formato tipo \u00e1lbum, contiene unas bellas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revistarambla.com\/en\/ilustraciones\/\">ilustraciones<\/a> de autores como Javier Olivares (Joaqu\u00edn Pertierra), Josep Maria Be\u00e0, Esteban Maroto, Miguel Calatayud, entre otros. Y los textos de C\u00e9sar Mallorqu\u00ed, Constantino B\u00e9rtolo, Luis Alberto de Cuenca, Jos\u00e9 Carlos Somoza, etc. En particular, es meritorio el trabajo del equipo de Graphiclassic: Carlos Uriondo, Luis Conde, Vital Garc\u00eda y Guillem D\u00edez, que est\u00e1 en la documentaci\u00f3n de todos los textos de los que muchos es autor.<\/p>\n<p>De Guillem D\u00edez es la secci\u00f3n m\u00e1s celebrada de estos \u00e1lbumes: Postscriptum, que recoge curiosidades, y las obras m\u00e1s secretas de cada autor. Por ejemplo, en \u00e9sta, tenemos noticia de que a pesar de ser \u201cinvisible\u201d visit\u00f3 de forma p\u00fablica Espa\u00f1a has en tres ocasiones.<\/p>\n<p>Escribi\u00f3 Jorge Luis Borges sobre H.G. Wells: \u201cLamento haber descubierto a Wells a principio de nuestro siglo: me gustar\u00eda poder descubrirlo ahora para sentir aquella deslumbrante y, a la vez, terrible felicidad\u201d.
